Just got home after spending two weeks in Skala, staying at the Makis, and it was FANTASTIC. We found the hotel to be clean, well kept, location is great, rooms were cleaned daily, and had great air-con. When we booked the Makis was a two star (think it’s been upped to a three star now) and we were pleasantly surprised at how much better it was, than we imagined. Yes, their are a few ‘issues’ at breakfast, (my moan is, it was orange squash, not ‘proper’ juice) but we never went hungry, and at least we knew the eggs were fresh LOL. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Makis again, and happy to recommend it!
Lovely hotel, clean, friendly, superb location – close to beach and restaurants as well as having own pool, great value for money. Spent one week thoroughly enjoyed , already planning return trip next year.
We just got back from two weeks at the Hotel Makis. All the staff at the hotel were great, and a special mention to the bar staff, who worked so hard, serving drinks and snacks on the beach all day- they didn’t stop! The rooms were lovely and clean and were cleaned daily. The location was perfect, and the beach was wonderful, nice and small and very well looked after. The loungers were very comfortable and the service of food and drinks on the beach was a real bonus. Breakfast was very basic and the same every day as other reviews have said- but fot the price of the stay, it was good value for money. Skala itself is a gorgeous resort, with lovely restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere. I’d recommend the hotel and resort to anyone.
